Dodie Brown is an American actor born and raised in Louisiana, the youngest of three siblings. From a tender age, she showcased her passion for performing with the Richland Players Theatre Group, dazzling audiences in musicals such as Oklahoma, Oliver, and The Music Man. Dodie's academic journey took her to Northeast Louisiana University, where she graduated in 1994 and was a vibrant cheerleader. Her cheerleading prowess also extended to the Shreveport Mudbugs professional hockey team.
In 2006, a significant milestone in Dodie's career was marked when Director Frank Darabont cast her in Stephen King's "The Mist." Remarkably, she shared the screen with her daughter, Taylor, who was just six years old. Most recently, Dodie took on the role of Julie in "Grumpy Old Santa," playing the wife to Kris, portrayed by Kevin Farley. Her dedication to her craft has seen her working diligently, primarily in the Southeast. Beyond acting, Dodie is versatile; she delves into coaching, casting, and producing, and has a reputation for immersing herself entirely into every character she portrays.
On the personal front, Dodie celebrated her union with Dr. Alan Brown in 1998, and they are proud parents to two beautiful daughters: Taylor and Gabrielle. When the curtains close and the lights dim, Dodie cherishes her moments with family, indulging in travels, and nurturing her garden.
